Watch: Multan Sultans bowler Ihsanullah Khan gets grand reception in Swat after PSL 2023

Pakan’s emerging fast bowler Ihsanullah Khan was given a grand reception his family, friends and cricket fans in his hometown in Pakan’s Swat valley when the talented bowler reached home after playing the Pakan Super League final for Multan Sultans. Mohammad Rizwan-led Sultans lost to Shaheen Shah Afridi-led Lahore Qalanders just 1 run.
Ihsanullah, who was picked in the Emerging Category, has been named as the Player of the PSL 8. He is the first player from the Emerging Category to beat the more experienced and established stars in the competition for the prestigious award.
The 20-year-old pacer hails from a small village in the picturesque Swat valley in Northern Pakan. He is the PSL 2023’s second-highest wicket-taker (22), having cleaned up the likes of Babar Azam, Jason Roy, and Sarfaraz Ahmed with his 150kph thunderbolts.

Ihsanullah, who has also earned his maiden call-up to the Pakan side for the Afghanan T20Is, had figures of two for 37, five for 12, three for 24, two for 19, none for 17, two for 22, two for 33, two for 35, none for 35, two for 58, one for 18 and one for 37 in 12 matches. He finished the series with 22 wickets at an economy rate of 7.59.

Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan was adjudged as the Batter of HBL PSL 8 after he won the Hanif Mohammad Cap for the highest-scorer of the tournament. Rizwan finished the competition with 550 runs at a strike rate of 142.85 with a century and four half-centuries.
