Watch: Prithvi Shaw’s torrid IPL form continues as Anuj Rawat’s brilliant throw runs him out
Delhi Capitals batter Prithvi Shaw can’t seem to catch a break in this edition of the IPL as his spiraling form shows no signs of stopping any time soon. On Saturday against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Shaw was dismissed for a duck in the first over of DC’s innings, courtesy a brilliant bit of fielding from RCB’s Anuj Rawat.
Shaw had pushed a Mohammed Siraj delivery to the right of cover and went for a single but Rawat skipped across to his right, pulled off a dived, caught the ball and threw it down the stumps at the non striker’s end. The bails were off from the direct hit and Shaw was well behind his crease.
This innings is only the latest in Shaw’s woeful run of games in the IPL with the batter scoring 12, 7, 0 and 15 in the previous 4 matches.

Earlier, Kuldeep Yadav led the charge in the middle overs as the Capitals spinners restricted Royal Challengers Bangalore to 174 for six in their Indian Premier League match here on Saturday.
In pursuit of their first win of the tournament, bottom-placed DC found the going tough after inserting RCB in.RCB were going all guns blazing as Virat Kohli (50 off 34 balls) slammed his third fifty of the tournament and Glenn Maxwell (24 off 14 balls; 3×6) was in a six-hitting spree.
But the DC spin trio of Kuldeep (4-1-23-2), Axar Patel (3-0-25-1) and Lalit Yadav (4-0-29-1) seized the momentum in the middle overs.
Mitchell Marsh (2/18 from two overs), who rejoined the team after his wedding, also made a significant contribution with wickets of RCB captain Faf Du Plessis and Mahipal Lomror.
