Watch: Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar attend Mumbai Indians’ WPL final vs Delhi Capitals

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and India captain Rohit Sharma were at the Brabourne Stadium to cheer for the Mumbai Indians women’s team as it took on the Delhi Capitals in the Women’s Premier League final on Sunday.
Other players from the men’s team of the Mumbai Indians like Ishan Kishan were also in the stands to root for the home side.
Mumbai beat Delhi Capitals seven wickets in the final to become the first-ever WPL winners. Batting first, Delhi scored 131 runs with skipper Meg Lanning top scoring with 35 before she was run out, and Shikha Pandey scoring an unbeaten 27. Issy Wong and Hayley Matthews had both claimed three wickets each while Amelia Kerr chipped in with two more.

In reply, Nat Sciver-Brunt played a mature innings of 60 (off 55 balls) while Harmanpreet Kaur played a solid knock of 37 before being run out.
Rohit, who also captains the Mumbai Indians men’s team, had previously shared a video message for the women’s side on social media.
“I want to wish our women’s team all the very best for the finals. I’ve really, really enjoyed how you’ll have played in the last four weeks. It’s the final, and you don’t get to play a final every day. So, it’s important to enjoy and have fun at the same time. Enjoy the atmosphere, it’s going to be amazing. We all will be cheering for you. So go out there and give it your best,” said Rohit.
