Team India captain has declined to answer, when asked who is the toughest Pakan pacer to face citing if he will take a name it will create an unnecessary controversy.
“Pakan team mein sab ache hai. Mai kisi ka naam nahi loonga. Bada bada controversy hota hai (All the pacers in Pakan team are equally good. I will not going to pick any individual. It creates big controversy),” says Rohit in an event in the USA.
“Ek ka naam lete hai toh doosre ko acha nahi lagta. Doosre ka lete hai toh teesre ko acha nahi lagta. Saare hi ache hai (If I will take one player’s name, the second will feel bad. If I will takr second players’s name, then the third will feel bad. I think all of them are good),” he added.
India will take on Pakan on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka in the upcoming 2023 Asia Cup, starting from August 30.
“When you play against Pakan, it’s always challenging, to beat them, and to play against them, we have to do a whole lot,” Sharma had said on Star Sports.
Pakan, India and Nepal are in Group A while Bangladesh, Afghanan and Sri Lanka are in Group B. The tournament will follow a hybrid model with Pakan hosting four matches across two venues and Sri Lanka hosting the remaining games.
