Watch: Shimron Hetmyer and Sandeep Sharma produce Boult’s twin strikes in powerplay
Rajasthan Royals’ Shimron Hetmyer and Sandeep Sharma pulled off two stunning catches off Trent Boult’s bowling to send back both Kolkata Knight Riders’ openers Jason Roy and Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
Roy was the first to fall as he tried a pull shot which everyone, including the commentators thought would go over the ropes but Hetmyer had other ideas. The West Indies player came running across from deep square leg and timed his jump to perfection. He then balanced himself so as to not overstep the boundary rope and clinched on to the ball.
In the 5th over, Gurbaz slammed a shot to the right of mid-off but Sandeep dived with both hands and held onto the ball like his life depended on it.
How good was that catch @SHetmyer to dismiss Jason Roy.
