After laudatory speeches President Trump, Buckeye coach Ryan Day and Vance, the vice president – who is an Ohio State graduate – tried to ho the trophy holding it in the air, unaware that the trophy’s golden top was designed to separate from its black base.
The US Marine Band was playing “We Are the Champions” when Vance, who earned a degree in Philosophy and Political Science in 2009 from Ohio, tried to lift the 3-foot championship trophy.
