WATCH VIDEO: After Siraj disagrees with Head’s ‘well bowled’ claim, Harbhajan jokes: ‘DSP saab, when he comes to Hyderabad…’ | Cricket News

A day after Mohammed Siraj’s send-off to centurion Travis Head at the Adelaide Oval, things seem to be spicing up in the India vs Australia Border Gavaskar Trophy. After bowling a superb inswinging yorker to Head, who was batting on a sensational run-a-ball 140, Siraj pointed Head towards the dressing room, while words were exchanged too.
Before the start of Day 3 play in Adelaide, Siraj appeared on Star Sports broadcast to clarify his position after Head had claimed he just said ‘well bowled’. In the interview with former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, Siraj denied it. And towards the end of the interview Harbhajan offered an advice in jest to Siraj, who was recently appointed as Deputy Superintendent of Police in his home state of Telangana.
“DSP saab, jab yeh dubara Hyderabad aayenge na toh usko thoda giraftaar kar lena (when he comes to Hyderabad to play in the IPL, try and arrest him),” Harbhajan said with a smile, before quickly adding. “I am just joking. I wish you all the best, let’s hope if India can set a target, you can get Travis Head out first ball later on.” Head, of course, plays in the Indian Premier League with the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Earlier in the interview, Siraj said: “I was enjoying bowling to him, it was a good battle. He batted well. At the end of the day, as a bowler when he hits you for six of your good ball, something stirs in the blood, inside you (smiles) – the passion rises. I was just celebrating but his abuse can be seen on television. If you see, at the start I didn’t say a word. Later, at the press conference, he said wrong things – he claimed he said “well bowled” to me; but that’s a lie. There was no ‘well bowled’ that I could see.”
