Earlier, in an interview with CBN News, Leavitt said the prayer offers a moment of clarity before stepping in front of the cameras. “It’s just a moment to be silent and still and ask God for confidence, the ability to articulate my words, knowledge, prayer, protection,” she said. “It’s the last thing I do before I go out there, and then it just gives me the confidence to do a briefing.”
From intern to icon
Leavitt, now the youngest press secretary in US hory, started as a White House intern during Donald Trump’s first term and later served as an assant press secretary under Kayleigh McEnany. After a stint as a spokesperson for Trump’s 2024 campaign, she was tapped to serve as the voice of the adminration in his second term.
Despite the intensity of the job, Leavitt says her faith keeps her grounded amid political chaos and online scrutiny.“My faith is incredibly important to me. I would argue now more than ever… there’s a lot of public pressure and discussion online about who you are and your family,” she said. “It could be difficult for someone who doesn’t have faith, but with faith, all things are possible.”
