‘Went too far’: Days after a war of words, Musk says he ‘regrets some posts about President Trump’ | World News

Days after the public break between United States president Donald Trump and the world’s richest man Elon Musk took over social media, the latter Wednesday expressed his “regret” over some of his posts on the US president.
In a post over X (formerly Twitter), Musk wrote: I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.”
Musk’s expression comes after the war of words between the “besties” after the tech mogul stepped down from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) after criticising Trump’s newly introduced ‘Big, Beautiful’ spending bill, last month.

I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.

Musk’s sharp criticism of the spending bill, which, according to him, would further blow up federal budget deficits, did not sit well with Trump. It soon turned into a heated exchange, with both sides trading sharp barbs for several hours.
