What emoji did these SRH players think of after that Absolute Abhishek whirlwind last night? | Ipl News

After their stupendous 8-wicket win over Punjab Kings with a rollicking chase led Abhishek Sharma, Sunrisers Hyderabad were in good spirits as their run of losses was halted in style. It brought out the unofficial celebratory song ‘Tigerland’ borrowed from Melburnian Aussie rules football side Richmond.
But two reactions were priceless. Travis Head stood jaw-opened and grinning as his Indian teammates joyously crooned the catchy number, not needing to refer to lyrics on smartphones. The second was skipper Pat Cummins who seemed to be searching for an emoji for what has become Abhishek Sharma’s patent celebration.
When players were asked about one emoji that best summed up victory, Nitish Kumar Reddy went for the Korean arch-heart, the overhead symbol. 💗.

Ishan Kishan as is his won’t, didn’t bother to stick to the available emojis, and went with the scary Pushpa neck – saw move. Or was it Marie Antoinette – because it went right to left.
Harshal Patel who struck a few braking blows on Punjab’s rampaging stuck to the devil rockstar groove. 🤘🏽.
Coach Dan Vettori – always asking the right questions – Wondered, “How do I do an emoji?” But settled for the head-explosion one. 🤯.

Heinrich Klaasen brought out the cutest face-moji to impersonate this ☺️ emoji, screwing his eyes shut and blowing his cheeks.

Then it was skipper Pat Cummins’ turn. The World Cup winning captain bowler, has kept his patience with a misfiring top order, always believing they will come good at some point, and Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma eventually did. Perhaps all that talk of 300 has been weighing them down. But once a steep target was in their sights, they knew exactly what to do.
So Cummins was looking for the perfect emoji for when Abhishek celebrates – a raised L into the sky. According to an old Team India Instagram, Abhishek had told the handle it means dributing universal Love to the world. In the absence of that not-so-universal emoji, Cummins thought for long before opting for either a Shruggey (Big deal, we won). 🤷🏻‍♀️. Or a wide Smiley. 😄.
Travis “Mr Stache’ Head was confused between a power first ✊🏽 and bulging biceps. 💪🏽.
Batter Atharva Taide chose the ‘V’ for victory ✌🏼and Zeeshan Ansari went for the Korean finger-heart, ‘Sarange’, 🫰🏼. The all rounder Kamindu Mendis chose a 🤙🏼🤙🏼.Story continues below this ad
All rounder Eshan Malinga went OG, with a pre-horic, pre-emoji one – both palms at ears, thumbs sticking into cheek and fingers flapping away in mockery with tongue sticking out. That one never had a name. Everyone just knew what it meant.
