Where are Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad after match 33?

IPL 2025 Points Table, Top Batters, Top Bowlers, Team Rankings and Standing Today Update: The Mumbai Indians strung together 2 wins in a row while Sunrisers Hyderabad sunk further into the mire, losing their 5th match this season. The contest at Wankhede was expected to be a high scoring one but the pitch had something else in mind as the batters struggled to get into a flow.
After chasing 245 in their last match, it was expected that Hyderabad would build on the momentum but Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head got off to a slow start their standards before Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma bookended the innings with some big hits. However, Hyderabad still failed to cross 200 runs, getting restricted to 162/5.
Chasing, Mumbai reached the target without much fuss with contributions from Ryan Rickelton (31), Rohit Sharma (26), Will Jacks (36) and Suryakumar Yadav (26). Tilak Verma and Hardik Pandya would also chip in with breezy knocks of 21 each as the 5-time champions won 5 wickets but stayed at the 7th position. Meanwhile, Sunrisers also stayed rooted to 9th. Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Giants still are 1st and 2nd while Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings are 3rd and 4th.  Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants are 5th, followed the Kolkata Knight Riders at 6th as Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Kings are 8th and 10th respectively.

In the Orange Cap race, MI’s Suryakumar Yadav moved up to the 4th position with his knock on Thursday while LSG’s Nicholas Pooran and GT’s Sai Sudharsan are 1st and 2nd. LSG’s Mitchell Marsh is 3rd while PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer is 5th.
In the Purple Cap race, MI’s Hardik Pandya made his way into the Top 5, settling in at 4th. CSK’s Noor Ahmad still rules the roost, followed DC’s Kuldeep Yadav. CSK’s Khaleel Ahmed is 3rd while LSG’s Shardul Thakur is 5th.
