Who is Dylan Meyer? Kren Stewart’s wife and screenwriter who penned their own Twilight saga | Hollywood News

Kren Stewart got married to her longtime partner Dylan Meyer in Los Angeles on a quiet weekend. TMZ reported that Kren and Dylan got married in front of a small group of close friends after picking up their marriage license last Tuesday. Ashley Benson and her husband, Brandon Davis, the couple’s longtime friends, also attended the wedding alongside their families.
The couple started dating in 2019 and have since kept their relationship a very private affair, though occasionally they gave glimpses into their unexpected love story that began after bumping into each other on a movie set in 2013. While we’re all aware of Stewart and her infamous Twilight Saga, very little is known about Dylan, who is also an actor, screenwriter, and producer, and even helped Stewart with some of their collaborations.

Who is Dylan Meyer?
Dylan was born in Los Angeles to screenwriter and director Nicholas Meyer. The 37-year-old started her early career with short films like the 2011 Death and Return of Superman and Wrestling Isn’t Wrestling. She wrote a few episodes of the sci-fi show Miss 2059 and also worked on a short film called Loose Ends. In 2016, she co-wrote, directed and produced XOXO, which turned out to be a big break for her. Then in 2019, her short film Rock Bottom won Best Short at the Chattanooga Film Festival. As of 2025, she is the founder of her own production company, Nevermind Pictures, alongside Maggie McLean and actress Kren Stewart, who are the co-founders. Meyer announced Stewart’s directorial debut in September 2024.

Kren Stewart and Dylan Meyer’s dating timeline
Stewart infamously dated her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson in 2009 as their on-screen love story blossomed into a real-life romance. But in 2012, their relationship got marred with controversies after Stewart was photographed kissing her Snow White director, Rupert Sanders. Stewart and Pattinson parted ways in 2013. After that, Stewart dated Alicia Cargile, St. Vincent, Stella Maxwell, and Sara Dinkin before finally saying “I do” to Dylan Meyer. 
The pair was seen kissing publicly in 2019. The sighting came right after Stewart was seen kissing her then girlfriend Stella Maxwell on a yacht in Italy, according to PEOPLE. But Meyer didn’t take long, she made their relationship Instagram official in 2019 posting a photo of them kissing and captioning it, “Find me under the covers hiding from the happiness police.” Stewart, in a November 2019 episode of The Howard Stern Show, opened up about their relationship for the first time, saying about Meyer, “Where have you been and how have I not known you?” She also talked about the moment she told Meyer she loved her. Stewart said it happened late one night at a “shitty bar.” Meyer’s friends had just stepped outside, and Stewart just blurted it out: “Oh, man, I’m so f—— in love with you.”Story continues below this ad
Two years later, Stewart returned to Stern’s show and this time she shared that Dylan proposed to her, and yes, she said yes. Their first public appearance as an engaged couple happened in March 2022 at The Hollywood Reporter’s Oscar Nominees Night.
