Who is Hasan Nawaz? Pakan batter who broke Babar Azam’s record for fastest PAK T20I century

Pakan’s Hasan Nawaz turned around his horrific start to his T20I career scoring a blitzkrieg 45-ball 105 to help Pakan chase a record total of 205 in just 16 overs during the third T20I against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday. However, New Zealand still leads the five-match T20I series 2-1 after winning the first two games comfortably.
Earlier, the 22-year-old had failed to open his account in the first two appearances in this format. He regered two back-to-back no-score figures — a two-ball duck in the first T20I and a three-ball duck in the second T20I — before hitting the fastest ton for Pakan in the shortest format.
Nawaz reached the landmark in 44 deliveries and hit 10 fours and seven sixes on his way to an unbeaten 105 as Pakan won nine wickets. Nawaz broke Babar Azam’s record of the fastest T20I century a Pakani. Babar scored a 49-ball hundred against South Africa in 2021.

In a must-win game against New Zealand in Auckland on Friday, the combined batting effort of Pakan batters led them to the win. Batting first, Kiwis put on 204 on the board before opener Mohammad Haris and Nawaz added 74 runs for Pakan in 5.5 overs.
After Haris’ dismissal, skipper Salman Ali Agha joined Nawaz and stitched 133 runs in 61 balls as Pakan finished the game with 24 balls to spare.
