Gobold and her son had last spoken with Williams two days earlier. When she noticed undurbed snow outside their home, she feared something was wrong. “All the lights were on,” she told the court. A Deliveroo bag was found in the kitchen, but there was no immediate sign of drug use visible to her, according to the outlet. Williams’ best friend, Bob Musker, reportedly said they had exchanged memes and voice notes in the days before the tragedy. He suspected Williams had been using ketamine and recalled their final video call on January 3. After learning that no one had heard from him, Bob alerted Janine to check on Williams – and soon received her devastated call.
