37 Miners Dead as Carbon Monoxide Fumes Engulf Underground Pit in Plateau State

At least 37 miners have died and 25 others were hospitalised due to carbon monoxide poisoning while they were underground at an informal mining site in Nigeria’s Plateau state.

The incident took place at a mining pit in Kampani at around 5:45am (local time) on Wednesday. Kampani is community in Wase, Reuters reported.
