Just days after the Ahmedabad plane crash tragedy, that claimed over 200 lives, veteran actor Zeenat Aman boarded an Air India flight recently. She shared an emotional note on social media, expressing her ‘overwhelmed’ feelings while boarding the flight and grief for the families who are mourning the unfortunate loss of their loved ones.
Taking to her Instagram handle on Monday, Zeenat shared a picture of herself in an Air India flight that she boarded that morning. Along with the photo, she wrote in the note, “Boarded an Air India flight this morning and found myself absolutely overwhelmed with emotion as I buckled my seat. May our collective grief offer some solace to those who lost their loved ones.”

Many other Bollywood celebs, including Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan also grieved over the tragedy on social media. Amitabh wrote in his blog, “Most pained and filled with immense remorse on the Air India crash… empathy and support for the lives lost of our people, and across all nations and communities… May grief transform into solidarity in honouring lost lives… Through transparent investigation, let there be sustained remembrance… and resilience… for meaningful action and prompt lessons… and for the healing of all…”

SRK took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “Absolutely heartbroken with the news about the crash in Ahmedabad… my prayers for the victims, their families and all affected.” Salman Khan shared, “Deeply saddened to hear about the Ahmedabad plane crash… Heartfelt prayers for the families of the passengers, crew and all those affected.”
The London-bound Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner flight was carrying 242 passengers and 12 crew members. The airplane, which took off from Runway 23 of Ahmedabad airport, crashed within a minute after takeoff, ultimately exploding into flames. Till now, there has only been one reported survivor of the tragic crash – Vishwash Kumar Ramesh.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Zeenat Aman was last featured in the Netflix show The Royals. She will next be seen in Faraz Arif Ansari’s film Bun Tikki. The movie also stars Abhay Deol and Shabana Azmi in lead roles, marking the debut of Manish Malhotra’s production banner. The release date of the film has not been announced yet.
