With MS Dhoni shaking hand, Harbhajan Singh shares ‘one simple step’ to tackle Coronavirus
Celebrities all across the globe are doing their bit to help health & welfare organisations spread more awareness about the pandemic Novel Coronavirus that has hit over 1.5 lakh people all across the globe and resulted in the deaths of around 7,000. After the World Health Organisation (WHO) started the Safe Hands Challenge, teaching people around the world how to be safe by washing hands on a regular basis, Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh also tried to impart some wisdom in his fans by sharing ‘one simple step’ to tackle the COVID-19.
The world has come to a standstill in the past week or so, with countries like China, Italy, Iran and several European nations among the worst affected. Every single day more and more people are succumbing to the Coronavirus epidemic, with those over the age of 50 being at risk the most.
In such a situation where the scientists and health organisations are constantly working to develop the vaccine for COVID-19, people have been asked to take precautions and stay indoors while washing their hands or sanitizing themselves frequently in order to curb the spread of the virus. One of the most important ‘don’ts’ that have been issued by the health authorities during this time of crisis is the avoidance of ‘handshake’.
Harbhajan shared an Instagram story on his account highlighting the same where his Chennai Super Kings (CSK) teammate MS Dhoni could be seen shaking Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) co-owner Preity Zinta’s hand while Bhajji himself used a hand towel to cover his face. The two pictures used in the story seems to have been taken from the previous IPL season during a match between KXIP and CSK.
The message from Bhajji, however, is as clear as daylight. Avoid shaking hands with each other and cover your face while sneezing, coughing in order to curb the spread of the virus.
It’s fair to say that celebrities all across the globe are doing their bit to spread awareness about the deadly Coronavirus that has forced countries to go into a lockdown-like situation. The world is truly at war against one enemy and it’s only together that we can defeat it. Keep washing your hands and stay safe!
