The India vs New Zealand World Cup match was briefly halted as fog engulfed the field, leading to the players walking off in Dharamsala. The match would ultimately resume after a stoppage of more than 10 minutes.
As both teams went back to the dressing room, the umpires were in consultation, hoping that fog fades away. As the fog covered the two floodlights pole, the umpires had initially wanted to continue but Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer said they could not see.
According to the official rules, in order to constitute a match, a minimum of 20 overs have to be bowled to the side batting second, subject to a result not being achieved earlier.
UPDATE: The play has been delayed due to inclement weather.

India were off to a flying start, courtesy of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill before they were both dismissed. Kohli and Iyer were in the middle and both of them also had a rollicking start before the weather put a halt to the proceedings.Most Read
