World’s most beautiful woman is 62-year-old legendary star, not Angelina Jolie, Zendaya, Taylor Swift or Hadids | Hollywood News

While names like Angelina Jolie, Beyoncé, Zendaya, the Kardashians, Taylor Swift, and the Hadid sers often top beauty charts, the crown for the world’s most beautiful woman this time went to a 62-year-old acting legend who has been winning hearts for decades and racking up awards, from Golden Globes to Academy Award nods. Demi Moore didn’t land the Oscar win everyone expected her to this season—she was a popular choice—but she was named PEOPLE magazine’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman. Now, she’s among the oldest to be honoured with this title and appeared on the magazine’s digital cover with an interview focusing on how she maintains her perfect physical appearance and youthful form while also dealing with the challenges of aging.

Demi Moore named the most beautiful woman PEOPLE
People Magazine announced their May 5 issue with Moore gracing the cover, dressed in a royal blue dress that complemented her style. She posed for the camera with her long, wavy hair flowing freely, accessorised with minimal jewellery and a natural makeup look. Moore earned her first Oscar nomination for her role in the sci-fi horror film The Substance and has since been vocal about her loss, while also praising Mikey Madison, who snagged the award for her role in Anora. At 62, Demi has been through a lot and earned every bit of the calm, success, and reputation she carries now. From a rough childhood and challenging marriages to becoming a mom of three (Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, with ex-husband Bruce Willis), her life has seen both storms and sunshine.

During her interview with the magazine, she opened up about the struggles she’s faced when it comes to maintaining her physical appearance, following strict diets, and intense workout regimens. She also shared how she used to ‘punish’ herself  to achieve the desired look at this age. Even in the film The Substance, Moore portrays a desperate, ageing fitness instructor, a role hailed as one of the best of her career. Not only did she finally receive the awards she’s long deserved, but she also made a Hollywood comeback that’s been a long time coming. “I have a greater appreciation for all that my body has been through that brought me to now,” she said, though she has her moments of doubt. “Sometimes I look in the mirror and go, ‘Oh God, I look old,’ or ‘My face is falling.’” But the difference today? “It doesn’t define my value or who I am.”
Beauty is “being fully yourself”- Demi Moore
Moore, who delivered some of the biggest hits of the ’90s, including Ghost, Indecent Proposal, Disclosure, and more, is no stranger to cover photos. She’s one of Hollywood’s most expensive actresses, having graced the iconic 1991 Vanity Fair cover where she posed nude and pregnant. And let’s not forget that G.I. Jane moment, doing one-arm push-ups. When asked what beauty means to her, especially at this stage in life, she said: “Beauty just is. You look at a flower and you see beauty. With people, it’s authenticity and positivity—it’s being fully yourself.” Speaking about her role in Substance, which revolves around the same theme, and connected with the audience on a deeper level, she said, “We’ve all felt it—that harsh self-judgment. Especially in the spotlight, it gets worse. The real connection came from showing how violent we can be toward ourselves.”
Moore’s acting journey began before she even turned 19, landing a role on General Hospital. For the first time, she realised she could actually earn from this, having battled insecurities since she was five. During the interview, she revealed she had amblyopia (a wandering eye) and had to undergo surgery. Add to that a bad childhood haircut and a questionable jean jacket with bows, and you get the picture. “It was really not attractive,” she joked. On the surface, Moore also holds a reputation as one of the kindest public figures, having stayed her ex-husband Bruce Willis’ side as he battles severe health struggles. “No matter what, we’ve always been a family,” she said. “Making our children the priority, that’s never wavered.” And, when it comes to breaking beauty roles, she is not the one to follow the crowd. “I remember hearing you shouldn’t have long hair after a certain age. But that never made sense to me,” she said.
