Would have been photographer if I weren’t an athlete: Neeraj Chopra | Sport-others News

Paris Olympic silver medall Neeraj Chopra has become accustomed to spending a lot of time in front of the camera but if weren’t an athlete today, the Haryana thrower would have been happy being behind it. During an interview with Lucknow Times, the star thrower said he would have been a photographer had he not taken the sports route. It doesn’t come as a surprise as Neeraj is often seen talking to photographers after competitions.
“I feel, if I weren’t an athlete, I would have been a good photographer.I like photography and even own a professional camera with expensive lenses. I haven’t taken a professional course in photography yet. It is a hob that I am very passionate about,” Neeraj told LT.
Double Olympic medall Neeraj Chopra is set to travel to Potchefstroom, South Africa later in November for training in order to begin preparations for next year’s events after recovering from a surgery.
Neeraj is no stranger to Potchefstroom since he’s had training stints in the South African town before the Tokyo and Paris Olympics. While Neeraj does like to cook himself a meal while travelling overseas but it doesn’t compare to the home food he gets back in Haryana
“Muje sirf ghar ka ki khana pasand ha ( I just love the food prepared at my home) and I miss my dal-chawal which is my favourite. Namkeen chawal makhan dalke bhi bahut pasand hai (pulao with a lot of butter is something I enjoy),” he said. Neeraj also mentioned how he is almost addicted to chai and needs to keep a check on it.
During the interaction with the paper, Neeraj also mentioned that Emma Wastson is her favourite actor. “ When I was kid I liked Emma Wason in the role of Hermione Granger in Harry Potter. It is one of my favourite movies.”
