WPL Auction 2024 Live Telecast in India: West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin and Ireland’s Kim Garth have been slotted in the top bracket of players for the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction to be held on December 9 in Mumbai for the second season of the tournament.“Rs 50 Lakhs is the highest reserve price with 2 players – Deandra Dottin and Kim Garth – choosing to be slotted in the top bracket,” stated a BCCI press release. Four players have been categorized into the 40 Lakhs bracket.
15 players from associate nations will test their luck this time for the showpiece event. The regration from these nations has come down from 19 last time. USA’s Tara Norris was the only one who was bought last year in the auction and she impressed with her performance.
According to the release, “Out of 165 players, 104 are Indians and 61 are overseas players of which 15 players are from associate nations. The total capped players are 56, uncapped players are 109.”
There are 30 slots available with the five teams and nine spots for overseas players.
