Yami Gautam says husband Aditya Dhar has inspired her to cook, bake: ‘I am the halwai of the house’ | Food-wine News

Yami Gautam recently spoke about her culinary skills, sharing that even though she isn’t that much of a cook, she does make an effort because her husband and filmmaker Aditya Dhar is an “outstanding cook”.
“Aditya feels really happy when I cook. I was a very bad cook. Let me put it out: I was never interested in cooking. I was a big foodie. My mother is a great cook, my ser and my brother, too. Aditya is an outstanding cook. But for some reason, they didn’t even ask me also,” the Dhoom Dhaam actor told Bollywood Bubble.
“So, I started asking my mother for recipes. It’s not like I can’t cook basic good food. But that extra touch like Pahadi cuisine (is what I want to imbibe in my cooking),” she added.

However, she is a self-confessed confectioner. “Desserts. I make them nicely. Whether baking or any sweet, I am the halwai (confectioner) of the house. I really fell in love with cooking after meeting Aditya,” said Yami.
Taking a cue from her admission, let’s understand how relationships have the power to ignite inspiration in ways we often overlook.
A marriage is a partnership where both partners lift each other, encouraging one another to try new things and grow in ways that empower both individuals. “ exploring new passions together, you not only strengthen your bond, but also open the door to a life filled with creativity, joy, and limitless possibility,” said Delnna Rrajesh, psychotherap, and relationship life coach.

In simple words, a partnership built on love and mutual respect is not just about fulfilling day-to-day duties but about bringing out the best in each other. “When you look at your partner not just as a companion, but as a source of motivation, new possibilities begin to unfold,” said Delnna.Story continues below this ad

Whether it’s cooking a special meal together, learning to bake, or even taking up something completely new like pottery – these activities have the potential to transform your life.

“But it’s not just about doing something for the sake of it. It’s about reigniting the spark that reminds you of your creativity, your potential, and your power. The power of shared experiences allows you to see yourself in a new light, pushing both of you to grow, learn, and try new things that bring out the best in you,” said Delnna.
