“This is an exciting challenge for me, playing in English county cricket, and one I’m very much looking forward to,” Chahal said as per Kent’s press release.
Last month, the spinner was not a part of the Indian squad which is currently in Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup. The decision surprised many, as Chahal had been in good form in recent months.
“No doors are closed on anyone. Chahal has played lot of white ball cricket and if we need him we would find ways to squeeze him in,” skipper Rohit Sharma had said.
