Veteran actor Sanjay Khan’s wife and Sussanne and Zayed Khan’s mother, Zarine Khan, has passed away at the age of 81 due to age-related ailments. She breathed her last at her Mumbai residence. Zarine is survived her husband, Sanjay Khan, and their four children — Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan, and Zayed Khan.
Before marrying Sanjay Khan in 1966, Zarine had a brief stint in Bollywood, appearing in films such as Tere Ghar Ke Saamne and Ek Phool Do Mali. She later established herself as a renowned interior designer, a passion that her daughter Sussanne Khan went on to embrace as well.
She also published a cookbook, Family Secret, which included recipes passed down in the family.
