15 people died due to electrocution in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. Till now, 3 types of information are coming out on the accident. According to news agency ANI, people lost their lives due to electrocution after a transformer blast near the Alaknanda river.

Chamoli’s DSP told Bhaskar that the deaths occurred due to electrocution in the iron fencing at the accident site. Apart from this, it is being said in some reports that work was going on at a site under the Namami Gange project. Suddenly the current spread here and many people came under its grip.

Chamoli DSP Pramod Saha told Bhaskar that 15 people have died so far. There was an iron fencing near the spot, which was being held by the people present there. Due to the sudden spread of current in him, all the people came under his control. There is also a care taker among those who died.

 

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said – Magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident. District Administration and SDRF team is present there for rescue. A helicopter has also been sent to take the injured to the hospital. All assistance is being rushed to the spot.

Uttarakhand’s ADGP V Murugesan told- A sub-inspector and 3 home guards are among the dead.

Local MLA said- The third phase of electricity was down at the project site this morning. The current spread as soon as this phase was reconnected. A case should be filed against the Power Corporation.
