3 dead, 5 others injured in US restaurant shooting | World News
Three people were killed and five others injured after a shooting at a restaurant in suburban Phoenix, Arizona, US, on Sunday night, police said, according to the Associated Press (AP).
The incident happened around 7:45 p.m. at El Camaron Gigante Mariscos & Steakhouse in Glendale, a city near Phoenix, said Officer Moroni Mendez of the Glendale Police Department during a press briefing.
“There were a lot of people here, attending some kind of event,” Mendez said, as quoted AP. “Anyone who saw anything, please come forward. We want to carry out a complete investigation and do right the victims.”

Police believe more than one person was involved in the shooting. While no suspect has been arrested yet, several people are being questioned, Mendez added.
According to AP, the five people who were hurt suffered either gunshot wounds or injuries from shrapnel.
Lupe Rodriguez, who was at the scene, told AP he ran to safety when the shooting began. “It was really bad,” he said. “There was a man on the ground, and it didn’t look like he made it. His father was calling out his name.” Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
