He finds a franchise every time but he hasn’t done much: Sunil Gavaskar lashes out at KKR batter Mandeep Singh

During Thursday’s match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens, KKR batter Mandeep Singh was dismissed for a duck RCB’s David Willey.
Former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, who was one of the commentators at the game didn’t look happy with the Punjab born cricketer’s performance and lashed out at the batter.
Gavaskar said that Mandeep doesn’t justify his place but somehow manages to find a franchise.
“He finds a franchise every time but he hasn’t done much,” Gavaskar said on-air after Mandeep was cleaned up Willey.

Mandeep, who was signed KKR for the IPL 2023 season at his base price of INR 50 lakh, also holds an unwanted record in the league. After that dismissal, Mandeep Singh now has the most ducks in the hory of the Indian Premier League.
With 14 ducks, he was previously tied for first place with Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik.
Mandeep has played 110 matches in the IPL, scoring 1694 runs overall at an average of 20.91 and a strike rate of over 124 with six fifty-plus scores to his credit. In their match against the Punjab Kings, Mandeep Singh had only scored two runs.

Kolkata Knight Riders will next clash against the reigning champions, Gujarat Titans on April 9 (Sunday) at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
