Don’t change, be together: Gabriel Jesus’s advice to Arsenal teammates as they gun for the Premier League title
Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus who recently rejoined the side after an injury since the World Cup said that the Gunners need to be together and not change anything as they aim to win their first Premier League trophy in 19 years.
Jesus who is a 4-time Premier League champion with Manchester City, said as quoted Goal.com, “Now is, I think in my opinion, the best part of the season. When you have deciding games, big games as well, away and at home. Now is the time we have to play the same, don’t change, be together and then we will see. The team are doing so good,” he said.
“I think no one here is the main man. Everyone is together. When I got injured, we were sure Eddie could go there and help us – and he did it. Trossard came in and did it as well. So everyone is together. To be champions of this big, big competition we need not only 11 players,” the Brazilian striker added.
On Sunday, Bukayo Saka struck twice as Arsenal moved a step closer to the Premier League title beating Crystal Palace 4-1.
The Gunners are eight points clear of current champions Manchester City, having played a game more.
Palace, who fired manager Patrick Vieira this week, saw its relegation concerns deepen after stretching its winless run to 13 games in all competitions.
Saka scored twice and set up the opener for Gabriel Martinelli, becoming the first Premier League player this season to reach double figures for both goals and asss.
Granit Xhaka was also on the score sheet.
