‘I’ve no idea if he’ll travel to Ireland’: Rohit Sharma gives fresh update on Jasprit Bumrah’s return | Cricket News

Jasprit Bumrah is reportedly set to make his return to international cricket in the upcoming three-match T20I series against Ireland. Bumrah, who has been out of action since last year due to a back injury, has been undergoing a rehabilitation process.
His return will be a major boost for the Indian team, as he is one of the world’s leading fast bowlers. He is a vital member of the Indian bowling attack, and his presence will be a big factor in India’s chances of winning the ODI World Cup later this year.
On Wednesday Rohit Sharma gave a fresh update on Bumrah’s return.
“The amount of experience he (Bumrah) brings is very important. Right now he’s coming from a serious injury and I’ve no idea if he’ll travel to Ireland because the team hasn’t been announced yet.”
“If he gets to play then it’s good and we hope he plays before the World Cup. When a player returns from a serious injury, match fitness, match feeling are some key components, which are missing,” said Rohit at the press conference ahead of the 1st ODI.
“We’ll see what has been planned and everything depends on his recovery. We are in constant touch with the NCA and things look positive at the moment,” added Rohit.
On Virat Kohli’s lean patch
Rohit Sharma also spoke about Virat Kohli’s overseas form and said that he has answered the question multiple times.

“I have answered this question multiple times. The outside noise, who has scored how much or has taken how many wickets or hasn’t taken… People sitting outside, when they talk, they don’t know what is happening inside.”
“Inside talks remain inside and we want it to stay inside only. We don’t look into all those things. For us, it is important how we win a win or a series. Our focus is on that instead of who is talking what. This is something that I have said a number of times and in future as well I will say this only.”
