The big news of this time is coming out from Devtalab where more than 3 dozen devotees got electrocuted due to the spread of current in the Shiv temple premises. After which there was a stampede due to which many people were injured. In this incident, 15 people were seriously injured, while the condition of 4 was critical and they were admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, Rewa. Apart from this, many injured have been admitted to the hospitals of Mauganj, Naigarhi and Devtalab in the district. This incident took place at around 11:30 am when more than 3 thousand devotees were present in the temple premises. Let us tell you that Devtalab is the home constituency of Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Girish Gautam. People told that for many days there was a demand to change the wiring and light fitting of the temple premises, but the administration ignored it and today this incident happened.
Eyewitness Ramayana Prasad Mishra told, ‘The incident took place at 11.30 am. The incident took place on the way to the temple from the side street of Charan Talaiya. There was water below, due to which the current spread. Savita Mishra, wife of Ramayan Prasad Mishra, was injured in the incident. He has been brought to Rewa.
Mauganj MLA Pradeep Patel also reached the hospital in Mauganj. He told, ‘There was a lot of crowd in the temple. Stampede has also occurred due to electrocution. Arrangements have been made for the proper treatment of the injured. 12 people were brought to Mauganj. There has not been a huge casualty. Nevertheless, all arrangements will be made as needed.
