‘Can’t fight genetics’
The biggest difference between India and Bangladesh’s batsmen in this series was their ability to hit sixes. India hit 22 sixes in two matches, while Bangladesh only hit eight. Even Nitish Kumar Reddy, a single player, hit as many sixes as the entire Bangladesh team. When asked about this difference, Bangladesh’s assant coach, Nic Pothas, blamed it on genetics.
He said that Indian players are naturally stronger and have better genetics for hitting sixes. Pothas said that Bangladesh is working on strength and conditioning, but they cannot compete with the genetics of Indian players.
