RSS wants to turn India into Mussolini’s Italy and Hitler’s Germany: Pinarayi Vijayan
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has demanded an apology for RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s controversial remarks on the Indian Army. Vijayan has also asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clarify his position on Bhagwat’s statement.
Launching a scathing attack against RSS Chief Mohan Bhagavath, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in his Facebook post wrote “Bhagwat’s comments on Indian Army are in poor taste, against Constitutional propriety; confirms our worst fears about the Sangh that it has no respect for India’s institutions.”
Vijayan, in the post, goes on to say that RSS wants to turn India into Mussolini’s Italy and Hitler’s Germany.
“RSS wants to turn India into Mussolini’s Italy and Hitler’s Germany. Parallel Army he is talking about is what we have always warned against: Hindu Terror. Running down the army amounts to treason.”
Pinarayi Vijayan said that Mohan Bhagwat must apologise to the people of India and called his remarks ‘treacherous’.
Yesterday, Mohan Bhagwat’s ran into trouble for his statement that compared the organisational capability of the Army and RSS. While addressing the workers at Muzaffarpur he reportedly said that while the Army would take “six months” to raise a force to fight a war, the RSS could do the same in a matter of “three days”.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, however, has issued a statement saying news reports had misrepresented its chief Mohan Bhagwat’s comments on the readiness of the Indian Army and the RSS’s discipline.
