Eid ul Fitr 2025: Eid ul-Fitr, also known as Ramzan Eid or Meethi Eid, is an important religious festival celebrated Muslims around the world. Popularly referred to as the ‘Festival of Breaking Fast” or “Ramzan Eid,” it marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, during which devotees fast from dawn until dusk, a practice known as Roza.
In 2025, Ramadan began in India on March 2, following the sighting of the crescent moon on March 1, while in the Gulf countries, Ramadan started on the same day, as the moon was sighted on Friday, February 28.

The holy month of Ramadan ends with the “festival of breaking the fast”, or Eid-ul-Fitr, and is celebrated during the first three days of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar.

When is the last date of Ramzan in India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and more in 2025?
According to IslamicFinder.com, the last date of Ramzan in India and its neighbouring countries is expected to be Sunday, March 30, 2025, which means that Eid is likely to be celebrated on Monday, March 31, whereas Middle Eastern countries such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia will observe the last date of Ramadan on Saturday, March 29.
However, it is important to note that it is contingent on the sighting of the crescent moon as Eid is celebrated on the first three days of Shawwal, which is the 10th month of the Hijri or the Islamic calendar.
