Redmi Note 8 Pro users start receiving MIUI 11 update in India; comes with October security patch

Chinese phone maker Xiaomi recently released the roadmap of the devices that will receive the new MIUI 11 update. Redmi Note 8 Pro was scheduled to receive it in the fourth phase which was set for December but now the company appears to have pushed the update ahead of its launch as several Redmi Note 8 Pro users have reported receiving the update on the company’s official forum.

According to various reports, the MIUI 11 update is now ready to be installed on Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones. The new update comes with build number 11.0.1.0 and weighs 587MB. It brings October security patch 2019, new animations, themes, wallpapers, overhauled notification system, Mi Share app, Steps Tracker, and a Floating Calculator. But it is unfortunately still based on Android Pie operating system

Redmi Note 8 Pro users can head to Settings > About > System update to get the latest MIUI 11. There could be chances that the company has rolled out the update for a limited number of users as a test and the broad rollout will begin after a couple of days. Therefore,

It is worth noting that Xiaomi has not yet officially announced the rollout of the MIUI 11 update for Note 8 Pro users. But a number of users have reported receiving it on the company’s forum. A piece of official information from the company is still awaited.

Redmi Note 8 Pro was launched just last month and this is notably the first MIUI update the phone has received so far.
