‘She was so happy’: Hyderabad woman paints janitor’s nails during office break

A simple nail-painting moment between two women at a Hyderabad workplace has touched people online. What started as a casual office break turned into a sweet exchange of kindness after a janitor watched one woman doing her nails.A simple act of kindness at a Hyderabad workplace. (Instagram/@sona.sayss)The video was shared Instagram user Soundarya Patil, who explained the story behind the moment in her caption.‘Aapko bhi lagau?’Patil said she was on a break at work, having tea and doing her nails, when the janitor came over and quietly watched her.“I asked her, ‘Aapko bhi lagau?’ and she immediately said yes,” Patil wrote.She said the woman was visibly happy and even asked whether she had red nail polish, as that was the colour she wanted. She said the janitor is often the one who checks whether she has had lunch, despite the two women not speaking the same language.“She even tries to speak in Hindi so I can understand her,” Patil wrote.She said the small gestures reminded her that kindness can be found in unexpected places.“Sometimes it’s a meal check, sometimes it’s painting someone’s nails, sometimes it’s simply making someone feel seen,” she wrote.Patil added that the woman asking if she had eaten lunch every day made her feel especially good because she lives away from home.The moment was also captured Patil’s friend, who secretly recorded the interaction.Watch the full video below:How did social media react?“Wow, I’m feeling so happy.
