Yogi tests negative, inspects upcoming Covid facility

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started inspections and ground visits after he tested Covid negative on Friday.

In a tweet, Yogi Adityanath said, “Due to the good wishes of all of you and the care of doctors, I have now become corona negative. Thank you for the cooperation and best wishes given to me by all of you.”

The CM had informed through Twitter on April 14 that had tested Covid positive.
The CM had tweeted, “On getting the initial symptoms, I got Covid checked and my report came positive. I am in self-isolation and fully following the consultation of physicians. I am doing all tasks virtually.”

Despite testing positive, the CM was doing day-to-day work virtually without any interruption from his official residence. He was taking Team-11 meetings regularly. He had also attended PM meetings and held many virtual meetings with officials. The CM had also received the first dose of Covid vaccine early this month.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath carried out an inspection of the DRDO hospital at Awadh Shilp Gram on Friday and took stock of treatment arrangements. He visited the facility which will be named as Atal Bihari Bajpai Covid Hospital. Later, the CM also tweeted about his visit and said that the battle against the corona disease was being fought with full energy.

“We will beat corona to emerge successful,” he said in his tweet. A government spokesperson said that it would be the largest Covid facility in the district. He said that DRDO is carrying out the work on a war-footing for the hospital which will have 500 beds, including 150 ventilator beds.
“DRDO has completed the work in a few days and the trial is likely to be carried out soon. For the residents of Lucknow, this is one of the biggest health facilities created”, he added.
