Akhilesh making irresponsible Statements, says Suresh Khanna
Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was ignorant of the political economy of the state and so he was making irresponsible statements.
“Akhilesh Yadav has become habitual offender only to see his name and photo in local newspapers everyday and makes statements without understanding the issue,” Khanna said and added, “The Yogi Adityanath government has earned global acclaim from WHO and other international organisations.”
Khanna claimed that the UP government has taken special measures to protect the interests of small traders, pavement hawkers and businesses in the unorganised sector. He said to strike a balance between lives and livelihood, the state government had imposed only partial Covid curfew instead of lockdown and had also extended material assistance to the poor people.
“This is beyond the comprehension of Akhilesh Yadav as he lacks the basic understanding of trade, industry and economy or the hardships faced by the small traders, yet he continues to make irresponsible statements.”
“Samajwadi Party is known for gundaraj where the mafia ruled the roost during the tenure of the SP government led by Akhilesh Yadav. He is ignorant about the nitty-gritty of trade and business and he is anti-trade and anti-businesses,” Khanna said here on Sunday. He added, “UP has so far received investment proposals worth over Rs 4 lakh crore and it will be in the interest of Akhilesh Yadav to keep his mouth shut and stop making comments about trade and industry.”
“Investors and entrepreneurs were scared of coming to UP for investing and doing business and the state was in the grip of gundaraj while the Yogi Adityanath government has created a congenial environment for investment and top industrial houses have made a beeline for investing in UP,” Khanna claimed.
Ridiculing the statements of Akhilesh Yadav, the minister said, “Despite being a three-term member of Lok Sabha and chief minister for five years, Akhilesh Yadav lacks practical wisdom. He is scared of venturing out of his residence during the time of pandemic.”
