Madhya Pradesh government to set up state level institute for research on corona pandemic
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state government has decided to establish a state-level public health institute for research on Covid-19, state medical education minister Vishvas Sarang said on Saturday.
Talking to journalists at his official residence here, Sarang said chief minister has approved the proposal for establishing the institute.
“We all have seen Covid-19. Therefore, the state government has decided to establish an institute that will conduct research on epidemic. Some degree and diploma courses will also be introduced in the institute and top epidemic specialists from across India will be roped in,” Sarang said.
He further said the institute will help state and also the country to deal with the pandemic.
He said the state government will launch vaccination drive on June 21, wherein vaccination will be held at 7,000 centres in the state. “Citizens from various sections will spread awareness for vaccination,” he said.
Pink campaign
Talking to journalists, Mishra said number of cancer cases in women has been increasing. “We have decided to launch a pink campaign especially in rural areas to aware women about cancer. Specialist doctors’ team will camp in rural and urban areas. Health check-up of women will be carried out,” he added.
