CM distributes appointment letters ‘BJP has given maximum employment to youth in five years’

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath once again mounted a blistering attack on the Samajwadi Party on Thursday, comparing the SP chief’s family with the Mahabharata’s characters.

“Kaka, mama, nana, bhatija (uncle, maternal uncle, maternal grandfather, nephew), you must have heard of them either in Mahabharata or between 2012 and 2017,” he said.

“Before 2017, the recruitment charge in different departments was given to the family members. Of some to uncles, some to brothers and others to nephews. They are the reincarnated characters of Mahabharata who impeded Uttar Pradesh’s progress by launching a war just like they did at the time of Mahabharata,” the chief minister said while distributing appointment letters to 57 naib tehsildars, 141 lecturers and 69 assistant teachers newly selected through Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission at Lok Bhawan in the state capital.

Congratulating the newly appointed candidates, the chief minister told them, “You are the backbone of making the state number one economy in the country. If the backbone breaks, the entire system falls. The previous governments had made this state without a backbone. We intend to bring the state to the number one position in the country with efficient people like you.”

He said good governance was not possible merely by changing the government rather the entire system needs to be reformed. He said the officers should also get a chance to work in a positive and good environment. “You must work as honestly and as faithfully as your recruitment process was done,” he added.

The chief minister highlighted employment generation under his government, saying that his government had established an honest, fair and transparent work culture because of which the state was progressing fast. “As a result of ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process, over 4.5 lakh jobs have been given to the youth so far,” he added.

Attacking the previous government, Yogi Adityanath said, “When merit and honesty are put at discount and recruitments are made on the strength of caste and money, the state has to suffer.”

“Did you too have to get recommendations from ministers, politicians or officials for the appointments?” the chief minister asked the newly appointed officials, establishing that corruption and nepotism in government recruitments were things of the past in the Bharatiya Janata Party rule.

“There have been no complaints regarding recruitments. We have given full freedom so that the recruitment process is completely transparent and honest and there is no discrimination,” he asserted.

“This is the same state which was considered a hindrance in the country’s development, however, today, UP is a leader in the implementation of 50 development schemes.” Yogi Adityanath pointed out.

“Similarly, UP also improved its ease of doing business rank from 14th four years ago to 2nd in 2021. Stable law and order in the state now has helped us gain the confidence of industrialists and investors which is why UP has emerged as one of the favourite investment destinations.” he added.

  Yogi Adityanath said that his government had completed the recruitment of new candidates with utmost transparency in a time-bound manner despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Since the implementation of the SVAMITVA Scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there has been robust development of rural areas through mapping and demarcation of village properties. This scheme has also provided ownership rights over the properties to eligible property owners which has led to end of disputes,” the chief minister said and added, “Due to efforts by the state government, over 2.63 lakh pending cases in the revenue courts have been disposed of.”

He further said that more than 16 lakh households were given ‘gharonis’ (property cards), benefitting over 24 lakh families and on the land freed from land mafias, a land bank was formed and it was put in use for carrying out development works.

Furthermore, Yogi Adityanath emphasised that his government had not only ensured timely recruitment of newly selected candidates but also had ensured promotion of serving candidates simultaneously. “Ek taraf hum chayan kar rahe hain aur dusri taraf promotion, isse aam jan ko dharatal pe nyay dikhayi deta hai,” he asserted.

The chief minister went on to say that the state Education department had also set many records by conducting copying-free examinations, online education, and implementing education policy.

“Previously, the youth of the state suffered from an identity crisis, however today, efforts have been made to make them stand at par with the youth of other states,” he said.

During the event, the newly appointed recruits thanked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the fast-paced process and said that the whole process was impartial, transparent, and honest.

Explaining how the due course of the selection process was followed, Kirti Singh from Sultanpur said the process was completed in a time-bound manner.
