Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, who will soon turn 90, has been hospitalised in Mumbai. His team shared that the actor is doing fine and is undergoing a routine check-up.
A statement the actor’s team read, “It is a routine check up. He is getting tests and some normal treatments done.”
Earlier in April, veteran actor Dharmendra underwent an eye graft surgery (corneal transplantation) at a Mumbai hospital. The 88-year-old star, known for his evergreen charm and indomitable spirit, was seen leaving the hospital with a bandage over his right eye, accompanied his team. The video quickly went viral on social media, sparking concern among fans and industry colleagues alike.

Outside the hospital, the paparazzi gathered to check on his health. With his characteric humility and smile, Dharmendra reassured everyone, saying, “I am strong. Abhi bhi Dharmendra mein bahut dum hai. Abhi bhi jaan rakhta hoon. Meri aankh ka eye graft (corneal transplantation) hua hai — I am strong. Love you, my audience and my fans.”
His positive attitude after the surgery earned him an outpouring of love from fans across generations, many calling him the “symbol of strength and grace.”
