‘Akhilesh spearheading politics of negativity’
Cabinet minister and UP government spokesman Sidarth Nath Singh on Friday slammed Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav accusing him of spearheading politics of negativity from the comfort zone of social media.
“Samajwadi Party is politically bankrupt, so in an act of desperation its president is making irresponsible accusations against the state government. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the ministers and rank and file of the BJP are running relief operations and providing food to the poor through community kitchens but it is not visible to the Samajwadi Party president who is busy tweeting from the comfort of his AC room,” Singh said.
“It’s futile to expect from the Samajwadi Party president to be aware of the relief measures as his party has not been visible on the ground for the last four years. Akhilesh Yadav does not have time even for the people of his home town and Lok Sabha constituency,” Singh said.
“Akhilesh Yadav is frustrated by the popularity of the Yogi Adityanath government. He is left with no option but to level irresponsible and reckless charges against the government. Akhilesh Yadav should come out of the comfort of his AC room and see for himself the positive change at the grassroots level after the tour of over 50 districts by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,” he added.
The minister asked the SP president to ascertain and collect basic facts about issues before making statements. He said the opposition is doing its politics through social media while CM Yogi Adityanath is at ground zero and visiting Covid command centres in districts and villages to ensure relief to people in distress.
