Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday staged sit-in protests in the state against post-election violence in West Bengal blamed on ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers.
Former Chief Minister Raman ingh and party leader Brijmohan Agrawal participated in a protest in Raipur. Raipur MP Sunil Soni did so at Tilda.
They sat on a dharna in front of their residences. Raman Singh called the West Bengal violence a “murder of democracy’”.
