BSP chief Mayawati, the High Court summoned the status report of the Vigilance Memorial Scam
A petition has been filed in the Allahabad High Court seeking a CBI probe into the scam in a memorial built in Noida, including Lucknow, during the tenure of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati. On this plea, the court has asked the government to submit the progress report of the case recorded in this case within a week. The HC said that no scandal should be scrapped.
Bahujan Samaj Party’s chief can now get trapped in the trouble again. PIL has been filed on the demand of CBI probe into the scam of monuments built in Mayawati. Allahabad High Court has asked the state government to submit a progress report within a week of the inquiry into the FIR lodged in this case.
Chief Judge DB Bhonsle and Judge Yashwant Verma have directed the PIL on the PIL filed by Shashikant alias Bhavesh Pandey of Mirzapur. In this petition, there is a charge of 14 billion 10 crore 83 lakh 43 thousand rupees in the construction of the Ambedkar Memorial Transit site, Lucknow, the famous Kansiram Memorial Site, Gautam Buddha Park, Eco Park, Noida Ambedkar Park, Rambhai Ambedkar Ground Smriti, etc.. The Lokayukta has disclosed in the inquiry report. There is a recommendation from the CBI or other investigating agency to conduct an investigation.
In Uttar Pradesh, the then Mayawati government in Lucknow along with Lucknow had sanctioned approximately Rs 4,300 crore to build five memorial parks in the name of dalit Maha Purusos. Out of this, about Rs 4200 crore was spent. The Lokayukta in its investigation estimated that about one-third of this amount went into corruption.
The allegation is that the supply of pink stones used in the construction of monuments was done from Mirzapur, whereas their supply was seen from Rajasthan and money was also taken in the name of the transport. The Lokayukta mentioned in the inquiry that the machines had been planted in Lucknow to carve stones, despite this there was no dearth of expenses incurred in the collection of these stones. There is also a charge that the payment was made at ten times the fixed amount.
Akhilesh Yadav Government has filed a report in Gomtinagar police station in January 2017. The Vigilance Department is investigating the scam. In the memorial scandal, there is a charge that seven trucks reached the spot after leaving 15 trucks carrying stones from Rajasthan. In this way eight truck stones were smashed. To this, the Lokayukta has recommended action against officials of the State Construction Department. It is alleged that the then Cabinet Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha along with Nasimuddin and several MLAs have been accused of scandal.
The case is between 2007 and 2012 in the BSP government’s allegation of scandal in the construction of parks and monuments in Noida and Lucknow. In the investigation of the Lokayukta, a scam of over 1400 crore was revealed. In this case, BSP supremo Mayawati, former minister Naseeruddin Siddiqui, former minister Babu Ram Kushwaha and 12 other legislators are accused in this case. Not only this, more than 100 engineers and other officers have also been named as accused in this case. In the case 2014, FIR was registered against everyone. Manufacturing Corporation, PWD, Noida Development Authority’s engineers and officers are accused.
