CIL signs MoU for Public Toilet Complexes near 7 operational areas of CCL
Each toilet complex will have separate bathing and urinal facilities; five for men, two for women and one for the physically challenged.
New Delhi: CIL has signed an MoU with Sulabh International for the creation of Public Toilet Complexes near seven operational areas of Central Coalfields Ltd. at a cost of Rs 2.10 Crore. The MoU was signed in the presence of the Chairman of Coal India Ltd., Shri. Pramod Agrawal and the founder of Sulabh International, Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak.
Sulabh International will construct Public Toilet Complexes (Sulabh Shauchalaya) in Tandwa, Chatra, Bhalumath, Tori, Phusro Bazaar, Ramgarh & near Rajrappa temple, in Jharkhand.
Each toilet complex will have separate bathing and urinal facilities; five for men, two for women and one for the physically challenged.
These public toilets will be beneficial to daily workers and the poor who do not having access to proper sanitation facilities. This will also help those women who lack access to proper sanitation facilities and are deprived of a secure environment for their sanitation needs.
