CM presents book to PM

As a testimony of the excellent work done by the Uttar Pradesh government in tackling the migrant workers crisis, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handed over a copy of the study conducted by the Harvard University in this regard during his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday.

The study highlights how the UP government handled an issue no other state was able to manage.

Yogi, who is on a two-day visit to Delhi, met the prime minister on Friday morning. He also thanked the prime minister for all support from the Centre and his personal behalf during the times of the novel coronavirus pandemic. The Harvard University Business School study dealt with how the ‘Yogi Model’ took care of the migrant workers returning to the state through a combined mechanism of prevention from COVID-19, sustenance of their families, employment arrangements along with skill mapping and other logistics.

Yogi presented three books to Modi, one on the study of Harvard University, another on a similar study by John Hopkins University and the third one on the suggested model of ascertaining Gross Domestic Product at district level.
