CM: Ram epitome of widespread faith
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the presence of President Ram Nath Kovind at the Ramayana Conclave was a matter of good fortune for all as it added glitter to this function.
“After a wait of five centuries, the construction of the grand temple of Shri Ram started on August 5, 2020. This has been possible only because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Yogi said.
President Ram Nath Kovind was on a one-day visit to Ayodhya where he inaugurated the Ramayana Conclave.
On this occasion, in his speech, Chief Minister Yogi, while praising Lord Ram, said that Ram belonged to the people and was the epitome of widespread faith. “The most used word in joy or in sorrow is the name of Lord Ram,” he added.
“Even our President’s name has Ram,” he said.
The chief minister said that the government was developing Ayodhya as a religious centre. “Infrastructure is being built, hotels are coming up, air and road connectivity is being improved as we expect an inflow of tourists in a large number in this holy city after the completion of the temple,” he said.
Yogi, along with President Kovind and Governor Anandiben Patel went to Ram Lalla temple to have a darshan. He also offered prayers at the Hanuman Garhi temple.
He said the Ramayana Conclave would showcase the rich culture of the country
Various programme will be organised by the Culture department at the Ramayana Conclave which started on August 29 and will be organised in 16 cities — Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Ballia, Varanasi, Vindhyachal, Chitrakoot, Shringverpur, Bithoor, Lalitpur, Garhmukteshwar, Bijnor, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Saharanpur, Mathura, and Lucknow.
In this conclave, ideological dialogues based on Ramayana and Ram katha, attractive presentations of singing, playing, and dance based on various episodes of Ramayana, staging of Ram Leela as well as theatrical presentations of various episodes of Ramayana will be staged so that the common man gets acquainted with the cultural heritage.
Ramcharitmanas recitation competition will be organised by Sangeet Natak Akademi under Ramayana Conclave from August 29 to November 1, 2021, in which children between the age group of 10 years and 18 years will be able to participate.
Around 2,500 artists will get an opportunity to give their performances in this conclave.
