From CM to kisan: Rs 135 crore at a click

BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will deposit an amount of Rs 135 crore — by a single click — in the bank accounts of 1,35,545 farmers registered under Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana at a Kisan Mahasammelan in Ujjain on November 22.
The amount will be deposited in the account of the farmers who sold their notified crops under the scheme in Krishi Upaj Mandi between October 16 and 31. Rajgarh district has the highest number of farmers to benefit from the scheme —12, 041— followed by 10, 290 from Ujjain, 8,255 from Dewas and 7,589 farmers from Sehore. Till Tuesday, farmers registered under Bhavantar scheme had sold 16.13 lakh metric tonnes notified crops. Registration Process of more farmers started on Nov 15 at 3,500 e-procurement centers and will last till Nov 25.
