Congress leader’s birthday celebrated in Collector Court
Indore: Local Congress leaders, including MLAs and Members of District Congress Committee, left no chance of showing indiscipline at the Collector Office on Tuesday during the meeting of District Planning Committee.
The meeting was chaired by Home Minister and incharge minister of the district Bala Bachhan. But Congress leaders used this opportunity to reflect their typical culture.
As per the rule, the meeting had to be attended by all MLAs, district collector, SSP and officers of the department concern whose subject had to be discussed in the meeting.
But a huge number of local Congress leaders and supporters along with MLAs Sanjay Shukla, Vishal Patel, Ministers Jeetu Patwari and Tulsi Silawat and supporters of Minister Bachhan reached the collector office.
Birthday in Collector Court
The Congress leaders, those occupied the collector court room, celebrated the birthday of Congress leader Alim Sheikh by cutting the cake, garlanding him and rubbing the cake on his cheek.
Congress leader Mohan Sengar, Candhu Kunjir and Pravin Nikhara, PA to minister Bachhan were also present. They pulled the chair of collector from his bench and sat on it.
Collector court room is a place where collector does the hearing of Revenue cases. Later, a video of the birthday celebrations went viral on the social media.
Local Cong leaders occupy chamber
After reaching the collector’s office Bachhan, Silawat and Patwari and MLAs Shukla and Patel entered in the chamber of Collector Lokesh Kumar Jatav and stayed there for few minutes.
But more than 40 local Congress leaders along with these dignitaries entered the chamber. As soon as the meeting of DPC started in the adjacent hall, the dignitaries went there.
But their supporters kept on occupying the collector’s chamber and kept on coming in and out frequently from the main gate. The peon and police personnel remained mute spectator.
Congress MLAs sit close to minister, replace collector
The indiscipline was seen just at the beginning of the DSP meeting. As soon as Bachhan and Congress leaders reached the meeting hall, Congress MLAs Vishal Patel and Sanjay Shukla sat close to Patwari and Silawat, while Bachhan sat in the centre.
As per the protocol on both side of incharge minister, Collector and SSP sit so they can brief the minister about the required information. In this situation Collector Lokesh Kumar Jatav and SSP Ruchi Vardhan Mishra sat away from minister.
BJP MLA Ramesh Mandola objected to Patel and Shukla occupying the place of collector and SSP, but Patwari and MLAs turned down objection in lighter way.
