Expedite wheat procurement process: CM to officers
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to expedite the process of wheat procurement from farmers under minimum support price.
The chief minister has also directed officials to ensure transparent arrangement at each wheat procurement centre and drinking water and shade for the convenience of the farmers.
Yogi Adityanath stressed on strict compliance with the Covid protocol during the wheat procurement while underlining the need for special attention to social distancing and mandatory use of masks.
The chief minister issued these directives while reviewing the wheat procurement work at a meeting convened at his official residence here on Friday.
He asked the authorities to ensure availability of sanitiser, infrared thermometer and pulse oximeter at the wheat purchase centres and directed them to run a helpline in connection with wheat procurement for the convenience of farmers.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary RK Tiwari, Director General of Police Hitesh C Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary (MSME & Information) Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, SP Goyal, Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary (Panchayati Raj & Rural Development) Manoj Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister & Information Sanjay Prasad, Relief Commissioner Ranveer Prasad and officials of food and other departments.
