Imposition of President’s rule is the only way… Kapil Sibal demands dismissal of Manipur government

There is a lot of anger in the country after the ongoing violence in Manipur and the video of the girl being paraded without clothes. Opposition parties are also attacking Biren Sarkar and the Centre. There was a lot of uproar in the house regarding this in the first two days. Meanwhile, former Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal has demanded the dismissal of the Manipur government. Sibal has advocated imposition of President’s rule in the state.

Keeping his point with the help of tweet, Kapil Sibal said that the only way forward is to remove Biren Singh and implement Article 356 and apologize to the women of our country. He said, ‘Nothing has changed since Nirbhaya, Unnao, Hathras, Kathua and Bilkis (decision to release the convicts). Save daughter Prime Minister! Explain that under Article-356 of the Constitution of India, if the state government is unable to rule under the constitutional provisions, then President’s rule is imposed in the state.
